WITTMANN BATTENFELD at the Plastimagen in Mexico
04. Mar. 2019 | autor: redakcia
From 2 to 5 April 2019, WITTMANN BATTENFELD will present to interested trade visitors latest injection molding technology together with automation and auxiliary equipment with a wide range of exhibits at the Plastimagen in Mexico in hall D, booth 614.

In view of the significance of the Mexican market, the WITTMANN Group has already been operating its own sales subsidiary in Mexico for more than 20 years. The Plastimagen is an important platform for WITTMANN to present its innovative technologies and processes in the area of injection molding machines as well as automation and auxiliary appliances to this market.

At this year‘s Plastimagen, WITTMANN BATTENFELD will be present with several applications for the automotive and packaging industries as well as a silicone injection molding line. The Industry 4.0 solution of the WITTMANN Group, known as WITTMANN 4.0, will also be impressively demonstrated with a separate exhibit.

The new EcoPower Xpress 160/1100+ with a new WITTMANN IML system, launched at the Fakuma in 2018, will be showcased at the Plastimagen for the first time outside of Europe. The EcoPower Xpress is the all-electric, high-speed, high-performance machine from WITTMANN BATTENFELD specially designed for large-volume, thin-walled applications, which are typical for the packaging industry. This machine series is currently available in the clamping force range from 1,600 to 5,000 kN.

At the Plastimagen, the EcoPower Xpress 160/1100+ will be shown producing a lid made of PP (Borealis, Austria) with a 4-cavity mold, using IML technology from WITTMANN. The IML system consists of latest, completely re-designed high-performance technology with a W837 pro side-entry robot. By using the SmartRemoval function, which is installed in the R8 robot control system from WITTMANN as standard and works automatically with an anticipatory signal exchange between mold and ejector signals, the mold opening time can be reduced to the absolute minimum. The lids are produced within a cycle time of roughly 3 seconds. The machine will be equipped with the CMS condition monitoring system from WITTMANN BATTENFELD, which ensures continuous condition monitoring of its most important parameters.
